These mountains rock, just look at all the exciting stuff to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Pala Dura Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Pinyon Flats Campground is a good       place for that, and nice hiking is available along the Ute Trail. Summertime highs at Pala Dura Reservoir generally tend to be in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are usually in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Pala Dura Reservoir. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
