If the weather is delightful here at Pala Dura Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Ute Trail, and you can stay the night at Ute Creek RV Park. Now, you may think that's a load but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Spring Branch flows through this region, and Pala Dura Dam is an interesting thing to check out. While       you're here at Pala Dura Reservoir you can take a hike along the Strawberry Trail, and of course, this is a good region for folks who like lakes, McIntire Reservoir is a lake in the vicinity. Now, you may assume that's heaps but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Pala Dura Reservoir. Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Cascade Trail, and Pala Dura Reservoir is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Pinyon Flats Campground is a fine place to camp                  nearby. Through the summer, highs frequently are in the 80's at Pala Dura Reservoir; the overnight is fairly colder of course, generally in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Pala Dura Reservoir plunge into the 0's. And if that's not enough there's loads more cool things to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Eldora while you're here. Lakes are magnificent; Montez Number 5 Reservoir is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Pala Dura Reservoir.
