If you need a site to stay Carbonate Copper Mountain is a great choice; there are pleasant locations to discover along the Miners Creek Trail. Pacific Tarn is great enough to spend more than a day at, Tiger Run Resort is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Upper Blue Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could take a       look at; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Tenmile Creek. If you came to camp Kite Lake Campground is a brilliant place to do that, and there are some delightful whitewater spots on Arkansas River. Pacific Tarn is usually a rather dry site; July is the month that gets the most rain; January is when it's the driest. After a long day outdoors Copper Junction Condominiums is a good site to spend a night or two,                  and you'll probably meet some people from Silverthorne here. For the duration of the summer months highs here at Pacific Tarn get into the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 30's. For the period of the winter highs are frequently in the 20's with temperatures at Pacific Tarn dipping down into the-10's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Do have a look at Upper Crystal Lake in the vicinity of Pacific Tarn, it's a delightful lake, and the slopes of Breckenridge are so inviting nobody can resist. Be careful coming to Pacific Tarn, you might not ever want to return home again.
