Oyster Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, East Marvine Campground is a great local campground, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Oyster Lake; Fayville Trail is a great local trail. There's good hiking along the Oyster Lake Trail, and there are some perfect whitewater spots on White River - North Fork. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend White River - South       Fork, and after a long day outdoors Quality Inn & Suites is a delightful place to spend a night or two. Any time is a delightful time at Oyster Lake if you like the outdoors. If you need a place to stay Clarion Collection Glenwood Springs is a nice choice. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Oyster Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Marvine Creek Campground is a magnificent site for that, and why not take a refreshing hike along                  the Bailey Lake Trail. Around Oyster Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; October is the month that gets the most rain; January is when it's the driest. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Oyster Lake. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's.
