    It's always fun to stop by Oyster Lake. Oyster Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, East Marvine Campground is a great local campground, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Oyster Lake; Fayville Trail is a great local trail. There's good hiking along the Oyster Lake Trail, and there are some perfect whitewater spots on White River - North Fork. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend White River - South  
   Fork, and after a long day outdoors Quality Inn & Suites is a delightful place to spend a night or two.
Any time is a delightful time at Oyster Lake if you like the outdoors. If you need a place to stay Clarion Collection Glenwood Springs is a nice choice. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Oyster Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Marvine Creek Campground is a magnificent site for that, and why not take a refreshing hike along
 
               the Bailey Lake Trail. Around Oyster Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; October is the month that gets the most rain; January is when it's the driest.
Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Oyster Lake. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Oyster Lake throughout the winter usually drop into the 0's.
