Johnson Lake is a great lake near Oyster Lake, and you can run the rapids of White River - South Fork. If the weather is great here at Oyster Lake, you can go for a hike along the Oyster Lake Trail; there are other places here than Oyster Lake, for example Marvine Lakes. After a long day outdoors Clarion Collection Glenwood Springs is a good location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. East Marvine       Campground is a good campground nearby, and a delightful close by hotel is Quality Inn & Suites. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Get your heart pumping on the brilliant whitewater of White River - North Fork; there is a perfect hiking trail nearby called the Bailey Lake Trail. The Fayville Trail is a brilliant hiking trail in the neighborhood of Oyster Lake, and Marvine Creek Campground is a glorious local campground. Oyster Lake gets very                  little precipitation; throughout the month of October you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is January. The warmest time of the year at Oyster Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's.
