The beauty of Oyster Lake is reason enough to stop by. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. This is a brilliant area for people who like lakes. Slide Lake is a lake close by; whitewater paddling is good on White River - North Fork. Good hiking is available along the Fayville Trail. There's so much to do here at Oyster Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Marvine Creek Campground is a good place for that. Lakes are great; Pine Isle Lake is

| | a lake that's close to Oyster Lake; paddling on White River - South Fork is so much fun. Summertime at Oyster Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Oyster Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. than a day at, East Marvine Campground is a great local campground. Clarion Collection Glenwood Springs is a good place to get some rest. Around Oyster Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is October,
and January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Oyster Lake; Bailey Lake Trail is a fine local trail, and if you need a location to stay Quality Inn & Suites is a glorious choice.

 | 3 PHOTOS Jet lake is also located in the Flat Tops wilderness area so no vehicles allowed but is only about a 15 to 20 minute hike to the lake (an easy pretty flat hike) then about another 15 minute hike into shadow lake , about 15 mor into blair lake and about 15 more into crater lake. Elk lakes are located about 5 minutes from the wilderness area only 1/2 mile to the parking for jet lakes.... some colorado wild flowers... |

Definatly a 4 wheel drive Jeep Trail but only a few miles from Elk lakes, Jet lake, Shadow Lake, Blair lakes , Crater Lake, Deep lake and bison lake. Lots of Cut throat trout, rainbows and browns. Most deffinatly more than a one day trip. Always plan for all kinds of weather, and definitely tent camping only.... |
