This is a brilliant area for people who like lakes. Slide Lake is a lake close by; whitewater paddling is good on White River - North Fork. Good hiking is available along the Fayville Trail. There's so much to do here at Oyster Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Marvine Creek Campground is a good place for that. Lakes are great; Pine Isle Lake is       a lake that's close to Oyster Lake; paddling on White River - South Fork is so much fun. Summertime at Oyster Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Oyster Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Don't leave Oyster Lake without first going for a hike along the Oyster Lake Trail; Oyster Lake is great enough to spend more                  than a day at, East Marvine Campground is a great local campground. Clarion Collection Glenwood Springs is a good place to get some rest. Around Oyster Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is October, and January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
