Have a nice hiking adventure along the Rock Creek Trail, and if you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Piney River. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay The Lodge and Spa at Cordillera is a perfect choice, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Beaver       Creek is rather near. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Oxford Lake, so little time. Camping is available at Shoe and Stocking Campground, and Inn And Suites At Riverwalk is a great site to get some rest. Not much precipitation falls here at Oxford Lake; during July this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Red Canyon Stock Driveway, and Colorado River has                  a delightful whitewater paddling spot close by. Lakes? Sure, Welsh Reservoir is in the vicinity; you'll meet a lot of folks from Edwards here. If you want to have a look at some exciting stuff, have a look at Windy Point; Oxford Lake is right by the Cache Creek Access Trail. Throughout the summertime at Oxford Lake temperatures are frequently in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's.
