C T Ritchey Dam is worth a visit since you're here. During the summer months at Owens Reservoir Number 2 highs are usually in the 80's while overnight lows are generally in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Owens Reservoir Number 2 dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. So much cool stuff in the Sangre De Cristo       Mountains, just fantastic. Gotta ski! Eldora is a pleasant site to do that; Owens Reservoir Number 2 is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Bearadise Cabins and RV Park is a pleasant local campground. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. If you need a location to stay Log Haven is a splendid choice; don't leave Owens Reservoir Number 2 without first going for a hike along the Indian Creek Trail. Camping at                  Circle The wagons RV Resort is always a tremendous experience, and you can go for a hike on the Black Hills Trail. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Indian Creek is a great place to go to, and good hiking is available along the Peaks Trail. Now, you may feel that's plenty but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Owens Reservoir Number 2. C T Ritchey Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could visit, and an afternoon playing golf at Grandote Peaks Golf Course is always a diversion. Around Owens Reservoir Number 2 you don’t get a lot of rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here, and January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
