    Owen Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Around Owen Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; July is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is June. This place rules, just look at all the enjoyable things to do near Owen Lake. If you need a place to stay Capella Telluride is a pleasant choice, and going for a hike along the Cross Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. This is a  
   tremendous region for folks who like lakes. Navajo Lake is a lake in close proximity, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the East Fork Trail.
Paddling on San Miguel River is so much fun, and Owen Lake is a glorious site to visit for more than one day, Burro Bridge Campground is a glorious site to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Cayton Campground is a fine campground nearby, and the Navajo Lake Trail is a good hiking trail close
 
               by. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Telluride if you're here, and you get a delightful vista of Cross Mountain from here.
Mountain Lodge At Telluride is a delightful place to get some rest; perhaps you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Barlow Lake is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. Soar down the rapids of Hermosa Creek in a kayak. For the period of the months of summer at Owen Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's with night lows in the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Owen Lake.
