What a place this is for outdoors people. Lakes are such serene sites, why not go to Park Center L and W Number 5 Reservoir near Ott Reservoir, and swing by Wilson Creek it's a nice place to check out. Ott Reservoir is a location that is rather arid typically; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is January. This lake is so wonderful. | | whitewater paddling on Grape Creek, and going for a hike along the Sheeley Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity.
Through the warm days of summer here at Ott Reservoir, high temperatures frequently get into the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are generally in the 20's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Ott Reservoir tend to be in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. | |

You'll find a lovely lake called Lone Tree Reservoir near Ott Reservoir, and camping at Royal View Campground is always a nice experience. These mountains rock, just look at all the exciting stuff to do in the Front Range. A wonderful
nearby hotel is Super 8 Canon City; Ott Reservoir is a place with many visitors from Canon City.
Playing golf is lots of fun at Shadow Hills Golf Club, and camping is available at Royal Gorge/Canon City KOA. A trip to Florissant
Fossil Beds National Monument is worthwhile. You completely ought to like the Front Range. Hiking along the Tanner Trail is great fun, and after a long day outdoors Budget Host Royal Gorge Inn Canon City is a magnificent place to
spend a night or two.
A tremendous spot for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Ott Reservoir is Arkansas River; you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Stultz Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Front Range.

These are large well spaced sites with lots of room., RV:We have 26 electric sites and 6 full hook up sites., PETS:Yes pets are allowed, but cannot be left alone., FIRES:Every site has a fire pit, and picnic table. We can have camp fires as long as there isn't a fire ban on., STORE:We have a small store with the office., GROCERY:There are several stores in Cripple Creek which is four miles away....We have 50 tent sites, 27 electric sites, 6 full hookup sites, and several different types of lodging, hidden among the pines on 31 acres, in a secluded valley. There is a small stream running through the valley giving you the opportunity to pan for gold. There are several hiking trails starting in the campground, and lots of open space for a leisurely stroll or games. There are ATV trails and fishing about 20 minutes away.
For your convenience our restrooms, heated showers, and dump station are centrally located by the office, along with the ice machine, and fire wood. We have supplies, and food available in the office/store.
Your pets are welcome to camp with you at no extra cost, but must never be left alone at your campsite. It is your responsibility to pick up after your pets no matter where you walk them.

This lake is a beautiful serene place to spend a weekend we love our family camping trips there. The fishing has been both great and not so good. The time of the year plays a part. However the beauty is always there. Love It!!!...
Fishing here was the most terrible expericence ever! I wolud head over to Eleven Mile if you arelooking for a good fishing trip!... |
