Around Old Dillon Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rain; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month is February. If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Old Dillon Reservoir. A great close by hotel is Snowscape Condo, and Old Dillon Reservoir is a good site to visit for more than one day, Heaton Campground is a good site       to camp nearby. Be careful coming to Old Dillon Reservoir, you might not ever want to go back home again. A tour to Ryan Gulch is always fun, and hiking along the Ptarmigan Trail is glorious fun. The panorama of Lake Hill from Old Dillon Reservoir is charming, and at Old Dillon Dam right next door to Old Dillon Reservoir there are some out of the ordinary things to see. Here at Old Dillon Reservoir there are plenty of folks from Silverthorne, and you can                  run the rapids of Arkansas River. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody close by loves skiing at Crested Butte, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Mesa-Cortina Trail. At Old Dillon Reservoir during the warm months highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Old Dillon Reservoir dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Buffalo Ridge is a great location to spend a night or two, and Blue River Arm is relatively close. Why not pop by close by Meadow Creek if you're here at Old Dillon Reservoir, and Blue River Ranch Lakes is a nice lake nearby. Lakes? Sure, Dillon Reservoir is close by, and Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks is a pleasant golf course close by. The skiing at Breckenridge is glorious; do take a hike on the Lily Pad Lake Trail.
