Iron Spring Campground is a nice local campground, and Olathe Reservoir Number 1 is a spot with many visitors from Montrose. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Montrose is a glorious place to spend a night or two,                  and get your heart pumping on the wonderful whitewater of San Miguel River. If you need a place to stay Quality Inn & Suites is a great choice, and nearby you come across the Dry Creek Trail which is a great hiking trail. Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! The Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains is unbeatable! Antone Spring Campground is a fine campground nearby; a pleasant trip to Uncompahgre Plateau is a brilliant way to spend an afternoon. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Coal Bank Trail is always a perfect adventure, and you can go for a hike on the Transfer Trail. So many fun things to do here at Olathe Reservoir Number 1, too great to be true. While you're here at Olathe Reservoir Number 1, you could also visit beautiful Citizens Reservoir, and the scenery at Citizens Dam is delightful.
