Knights Inn Walsenburg is a good site to get some rest; if you came to camp Monument Lake Resort is a great place to do that. That right there is heaps already, but it       keeps on going; Ojo Verde Reservoir has it all. The Island is wonderful and can be spotted from Ojo Verde Reservoir, and skiing at Eldora is one of those things you just should do. Ojo Verde Reservoir is located in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Not far from Ojo Verde Reservoir, you'll discover McDonald Reservoir which is a charming lake; while you're here, you might as well pop by Dry Canyon. Throughout the warm months highs here at Ojo Verde Reservoir                  reach the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 40's while Ojo Verde Reservoir nighttime low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 0's. Now, you may imagine that's heaps but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. The West Peak Trail is a glorious hiking trail close to Ojo Verde Reservoir. Ojo Verde Reservoir is typically a pretty dried up spot; August is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is January. This lake is so wonderful.
