Don't leave Officers Gulch Pond without first going for a hike along the Miners Creek Trail; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tenmile Creek. This lake is so wonderful. At Officers Gulch Pond you can observe Tenmile Peak; why not camp at Black Lakes Campground since you're here       at Officers Gulch Pond. Around Officers Gulch Pond you don’t get a lot of precipitation; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Wheeler Lakes is a nearby lake that you could check out, and there are good spots to explore along the Wheeler Trail. During the summer at Officers Gulch Pond highs are generally in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 40's.                  Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Officers Gulch Pond. Arkansas River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot close by, and everybody close by loves skiing at Breckenridge. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. The skiing at Copper Mountain is magnificent, and while you're here, you could also go to gorgeous Curtain Ponds. Dry warm beds await you at Ramada Limited Frisco, and camping is available at Gold Pan Campground. If you need a location to stay New Village is a brilliant choice, and pleasant hiking is available along the Wheeler Dillion Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff right next door to Officers Gulch Pond.
