Oaks Reservoir is located in the Park Range. At Oaks Reservoir you don’t see much precipitation; December is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest month is August. At Oaks Reservoir throughout the summertime months highs are in the 80's, and the night is quite colder of course, frequently in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while Oaks Reservoir nighttime low temperatures during the       wintertime are in the-10's. Oaks Dam is stunning and it's near Oaks Reservoir, and Eastin Hotel is a pleasant place to get some rest. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Tepee Creek Trail; why not camp at Gore Pass Campground while you're here at Oaks Reservoir. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. There are some good whitewater spots on Rock Creek; camping at Oaks Reservoir is splendid fun, Blacktail Creek Campground is a splendid                  local campground. All year is a splendid time in the Park Range if you adore the outdoors. A pleasant nearby hotel is Bob's Western Motel, and what would winter be without some skiing at Steamboat. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Oaks Reservoir you can take a hike along the Buffalo Park Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Colorado River offers some great whitewater. So many entertaining things to do here in the Park Range, too pleasant to be true. Hiking along the Midway Trail is nice fun; do visit Rudolph Reservoir, it's a stunning lake.
