Very glorious water scenery is available at Elk Lake Dam near OVO Reservoir; going for a hike along the Sugar Loaf Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Summer brings highs in the 80's to OVO Reservoir while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 40's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at OVO Reservoir       temperatures fall to the 0's. There's so much to do here at OVO Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Freeman Campground is a good site for that, and some nearby water includes Box Spring Creek. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Box Spring; dry warm beds await you at Elk Run Inn. Not much precipitation falls here at OVO Reservoir; May is the month that gets the most rain; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful.                  If the weather is gorgeous, you get a great view of Jim Robertson Mountain from OVO Reservoir, and hiking along the Bears Ears Trail is tremendous fun. Having a great time at OVO Reservoir is trouble-free. This is a great neighborhood for folks who like lakes.
