Go to O'Connell Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. O'Connell Lake is one of the lakes here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. For the period of the long summer days, highs generally are in the 70's at O'Connell Lake. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 30's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's with temperatures at O'Connell Lake dipping down into the-10's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.

Having a pleasant time at O'Connell Lake is trouble-free. O'Connell Lake is right by the Piedra Stock Trail, and O'Neal Park is right here at O'Connell Lake. offers hiking at its best, and hey, Gotta ski right? Wolf Creek is a great location to do that. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Piedra River, and Corral Mountain is simple to spot from O'Connell Lake. Take a hike on the Fourmile
Stock Trail, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on San Juan River. O'Connell Lake is ordinarily a reasonably dried up location; July is the wettest month with most rain; June on the other hand is the driest. Whohoo,
so many cool things in one place! The San Juan and Jemez Mountains rocks! If you need a place to stay Keyah Grande Resort is a perfect choice, and no need to travel far to have a look at out of the ordinary stuff like Sally Overlook.
This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at O'Connell Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Upper Piedra Campground is a wonderful site for that; why not a little side trip to Gordon Creek.
