Just can't get enough of the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Camping at Smokehouse Campground is always a nice experience, and Best Western Sundance is a magnificent spot to get some rest. Maverick Draw is a great spot to check out nearby; Nucla Domestic Reservoir is not far at all from Montrose. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Nucla Domestic Reservoir with overnight lows in the 50's.       During the winter the highs are commonly in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Nucla Domestic Reservoir. This lake is one of the great places here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. And that's not everything you can do here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. If the weather is great here at Nucla Domestic Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Indian Trail, and San Miguel River is a brilliant whitewater spot close by. If only every location                  had this much outdoors cool stuff, what a great globe it would be. Nucla Domestic Reservoir is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, High Country Recreational Vehicle Park is a wonderful local campground, and at Nucla Domestic Dam close to Nucla Domestic Reservoir there are some interesting things to see. This lake is so wonderful. Places like Spradlin Park are delightful to visit, and the Fortyseven and Meadow Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. On a brilliant day at Nucla Domestic Reservoir you can take a hike along the The Meadows Trail; if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on San Miguel River.
