This is a great region for folks who like lakes. Northfield Number 4 Reservoir is a lake around here, and dry warm beds await you at The Cliff House Hotel at Pikes Peak. Northfield Dam is a site that is next to Northfield Reservoir, and if you need a location to stay Eagle Motel is a nice choice. Northfield Reservoir is pretty waterless usually; the month with most of the rain is July; January is the month with       the least moisture. But wait, there's more to do close to Northfield Reservoir. On a nice day at Northfield Reservoir you can take a hike along the Stanley Canyon Trail, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Nichols Reservoir is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. Northfield Reservoir is not far at all from Colorado Springs, and Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is a nice place close by. This lake is one of                  the great places here in the Front Range. All through the summer months, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Northfield Reservoir. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 40's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Northfield Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Near Northfield Reservoir you discover the Waldo Canyon Trail which is a great hiking trail, and camping at Lone Duck Campground is always a delightful experience. Man, is there lots of exciting stuff to do in the Front Range. There is a magnificent hiking trail near Northfield Reservoir called the Schubarth Trail; on a delightful day you acquire a perfect panorama of Devils Kitchen from Northfield Reservoir. So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Front Range, too great to be true.
