You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Park Range. If you came for an overnight stay Summit Lake Campground is a tremendous place to camp, as expected you could also stop at Wolverine Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. Western Lodge is a nice place to get some rest, and since you're here at North Lake it's a good idea to visit Wolverine Basin.       And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do close to North Lake. The Wyoming Trail is a great hiking trail close to North Lake, and obviously Wolverine Creek flows through this region. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Elk River, and nearby you come across the Three Island Lake Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. Summertime at North Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's; the nighttime is fairly colder of course,                  regularly in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows in the-10's for North Lake. Not much rainfall falls here at North Lake; most of the snow falls all through December while August is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Hinman Campground is a great campground nearby, and if you need a place to stay CrossTimbers at Steamboat is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Steamboat in the vicinity, and in all probability you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Ptarmigan Lake is just a very short distance away. That right there is lots of fun things already but it goes on, the Park Range has it all. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Howelsen Hill, and there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the North Lake Trail.
