This lake is one of the great places here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. There's great hiking along the Wade Trail, and Hayrack Mountain is a peak you can make out from North Lake. Yeah, come up here to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains for a splendid time. North Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Monument Lake Resort is a wonderful local campground, and a day       on the slopes of Eldora is just what you need. All the outdoors fun stuff near North Lake will keep you coming back over and over. While you're here at North Lake it's a delightful idea to check out Coal Creek Flat; camping at Potato Patch Campground is always a nice experience. Be careful coming to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, you might not ever want to return home again. There's always North Lake Dam to check out in close proximity to North Lake, and                  glorious hiking is available along the Apishapa Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Cherry Creek flows through this neighborhood; you can go for a hike on the West Peak Trail. All through the long summer days, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at North Lake. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at North Lake. North Lake is generally a reasonably dehydrated place; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while January is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
