Going for a hike on the Mount Elbert Trail is always a nice adventure, and why not camp at Halfmoon Campground if you're here at North Halfmoon Lakes. For the period of the long summer days at North Halfmoon Lakes temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. All through the winter highs are ordinarily in the 30's; overnight lows in the       0's for North Halfmoon Lakes. Yep, outdoors fun stuff truly is bountiful here in the Sawatch Range.
