But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Sawatch Range. North Fork Reservoir is right by the Pitkin Stock Driveway, and there's some out of the ordinary stuff to distinguish at North Fork Dam near North Fork Reservoir. If only every place had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great planet it would be. After a long day outdoors Best Western Vista Inn is a tremendous place to spend a night or two,       and float down the rapids of Arkansas River in a kayak. Not much rainfall falls here at North Fork Reservoir; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most; June is when it's the driest. Summer brings highs in the 70's to North Fork Reservoir; the night is a tad chillier of course, ordinarily in the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-20's to North Fork Reservoir. Paddling                  on Arkansas River is so much fun, and lakes are such calm locations, why not check out Billings Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent place to camp here at North Fork Reservoir is Monarch Park Campground, and Buena Vista Super 8 Motel is a pleasant site to get some rest. Monarch is a very popular ski area around here. This lake is so wonderful. North Fork Reservoir is good enough to spend more than a day at, Garfield Campground is a good local campground, and since you're here why not have a look at Chalk Creek Pass. Having a delightful time in the Sawatch Range is trouble-free. The Browns Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and Mount Aetna can be seen from North Fork Reservoir. Black Canyon Of The Gunnison National Park is a great location near North Fork Reservoir; hiking is a popular thing to do around North Fork Reservoir; Fooses Creek Trail is a good local trail.
