    Lake Nokomis is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Cache La Poudre River, and dry warm beds await you at Peak To Peak Lodge Inc.. All through the warm days of summer, highs usually are in the 80's at Lake Nokomis, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. For the period of the winter  
   highs are usually in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Lake Nokomis. And that's not all you can do here at Lake Nokomis. Fox Acres Country Club is a golf course close to Lake Nokomis; of course, A trip to Wildcat Canyon is always fun.
This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Swamp Creek Cutoff Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Killpecker Trail; camping is available at Creedmore Lakes Campground.
 
               The Medicine Bow Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
This location, the Medicine Bow Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting things. Lakes are great; Apache Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Lake Nokomis, and get your heart beating on the splendid whitewater of Cache La Poudre River - North Fork. Lake Nokomis is a location that is rather dried out usually; July is the month that gets the most rain; January meanwhile is the driest month. Nakomis Lake Dam is a pretty site in the vicinity of Lake Nokomis; hiking along the North Lone Pine Trail is splendid fun.
This is a good neighborhood for folks who like lakes. Nakomis Lake is a lake in close proximity; why not camp at Dowdy Lake - Arapaho National Forest if you're here at Lake Nokomis.

However my interest in families was sparked when I heard the name Appleton Collins Worster who is in my family tree. ...It's named after my grandfather Appleton Collins Worster, he came here from Maine when he was young. My father and uncles grew up in the house that is on Sand Creek road, not far from reservoir....I have never heard of Worster Reservoir, please let me know where it is located....

The lake was very low on 6/29/08. Not sure when they let all the water out but if it was before this last winter we had... I bet it froze solid. We both fished for a while and did not see and sign of life while we were there....
