Why not stop by Nissen Reservoir Number 2 if you're passing through these parts. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Boulder Creek; you can stay the night at B and B Mobile and RV Park. Guest House and Suites, Hilltop Inn is a tremendous choice. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, South Platte River offers some good whitewater, and dry warm beds await you at The Westin Westminster.
During your tour to Nissen Reservoir Number 2 you'll meet some folks from Boulder for sure; Delux RV Park is a delightful campground here. Throughout the summer months, highs generally are in the 80's at Nissen Reservoir Number 2.
For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Nissen Reservoir Number 2 are in the 10's.
