Hiking along the Morrison Divide Trail is brilliant fun. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Colorado River for all you adrenaline people,       and after a long day outdoors Oak Tree Inn Yampa is a great place to spend a night or two. You're probably into lakes, Kelly Reservoir is one of those nearby, and Newton Gulch Reservoir is a perfect site to visit for more than one day, Toponas Creek Campground is a perfect site to camp nearby. Summertime highs at Newton Gulch Reservoir ordinarily tend to be in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. Daytime highs all through the                  wintertime are in the 20's while Newton Gulch Reservoir overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Rock Creek, and Newton Gulch Reservoir is right by the Ute Trail. Newton Gulch Reservoir is a location that is quite arid ordinarily; March is when you get the most snow here while June is typically the driest month. Any time is a brilliant time at Newton Gulch Reservoir if you adore the outdoors.
