While you're here at Nelson Reservoir you can take a hike along the Round Mountain Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Nelson Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Arapaho Bay - Arapaho National Forest. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Cache La Poudre River offers some good whitewater, and you can have a delightful       hiking adventure along the Wintersteen Trail. Homewood Suites by Hilton Fort Collins is a wonderful site to get some rest, and some close by water includes Dry Creek. Take a hike on the Jug Trail; there are some great whitewater spots on Big Thompson River. Through the warm days of summer here at Nelson Reservoir, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs                  in the 40's, and night lows in the 10's for Nelson Reservoir. Now, you may assume that's loads but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Nelson Reservoir. While you're here at Nelson Reservoir you can play some golf at Fort Collins Country Club Golf, and if you need a place to stay Hampton Inn Ft.Collins is a tremendous choice. Very great water scenery is available at Sherwood Dam near Nelson Reservoir; Nelson Reservoir is a spot with many visitors from Fort Collins-Loveland. This lake is so wonderful. Sheldon Lake is a good lake close to Nelson Reservoir, and Nelson Reservoir is a good place to camp, Pawnee - Arapaho National Forest is a good place.
