All through the long summer days at Needle Creek Reservoir temperatures are regularly in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer       temperatures dip down into the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Needle Creek Reservoir temperatures sink to the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Needle Rock is an attention-grabbing spot to explore while at Needle Creek Reservoir, and if you want a little side trip, try Fence Gulch. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous site to camp here at Needle Creek Reservoir is Monarch Valley Ranch, and Owen Park is a good place to stretch your legs a bit. It is very dried up here at Needle Creek Reservoir usually; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and April meanwhile is the driest month. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! The San Juan and Jemez Mountains rocks! The Coyote Park Trail is a pleasant hiking trail right next door to Needle Creek Reservoir, and camping is available at Luders Creek Campground.
