Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. A good spot for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Native Lake is Arkansas River, and The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch is a magnificent location to get some rest. A good site to camp here at Native Lake is Elbert Creek Campground, and the best way to spend a       winter day is on the slopes of nearby Ski Cooper. All the outdoors cool things in the Sawatch Range will keep you coming back many times. Native Lake is not far at all from Edwards, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Leadville is a splendid place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. There are delightful sites to explore along the Highline Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Native Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day                  at, Mary Queen Campground is a pleasant local campground; you can run the rapids of Lake Creek.
