Native Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Native Lake gets very little precipitation; throughout August this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Native Lake is a location with many visitors from Edwards. So many enjoyable things in the Sawatch Range, just extraordinary. Going for a hike along the Mount Massive Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood,
and if you came to camp Mary Queen Campground is a great spot to do that.
Native Lake is located in the Sawatch Range. And that's not all you can do here in the Sawatch Range. Camping at Elbert Creek Campground is always a magnificent experience, and what would winter be without some skiing at Ski Cooper. While you're here at Native Lake you can take a hike along the Main Range Trail, and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Leadville is a perfect choice.

Dry warm beds await you at The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch; Native Lake is not the only place close by, Hidden Lakes is a close by lake. For the period of the months of summer, highs regularly are in the 70's at Native Lake. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. Highs during the winter are frequently in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Native Lake. All the outdoors fun stuff next to Native Lake will keep you coming back repeatedly. If you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lake Creek, obviously you could also explore Swamp Lakes since you're here; it's not far at all.
This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Highline Trail is magnificent fun, and Arkansas River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby.

He negotiated a deal to purchase 280 acres at the base and worked with the Forest Service to establish parameters and guidelines for the ski area. Chuck was both a renegade and a visionary. During the summer of '71, initial construction began on the ski trails. Today, Chuck’s dream is alive and well.

As stated in a 1969 US Forest Service report, if there were a mountain that had terrain for skiing it would be Copper Mountain. It is the most nearly perfect ski mountain in the U. S. Over the years, new lifts were added and Copper grew to its current size of 2,465 acres. What was once a sleepy little day ski area is now one of Colorado's premier year-round destination resorts. In 1997, the resort was purchased by Intrawest - a worldwide leader in resort operations and real estate development.

Now the resort consists of not only an incredible mountain, but multiple villages, hundreds of buildings and a million other tang...
