Colorado has many beautiful lakes and Native Lake is one of them. That right there is a load already, but it keeps on going; Native Lake has it all. There are some good whitewater spots on Rio Chama, and you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Fish Creek Trail. Native Lake is a pretty wet place ordinarily with a good deal of precipitation; March is when you get the most snow here; the driest month of the year is June. Native Lake is one of the
lakes here in the San Juan Mountains.
This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Rio de los Brazos; if you came for an overnight stay Rio Chama RV Campground is a perfect spot to camp. Camping is available at El Vado Lake Camping Resort, and at Native Lake you can observe Chama Peak. Lakes? Sure, Brushfence Lake is nearby, and Native Lake is right by the Leche Creek Trail.
