    It's always fun to stop by Nakomis Lake. Nakomis Lake is right by the North Lone Pine Trail, and getting to Columbine Creek from Nakomis Lake is uncomplicated. Yep, outdoors exciting things truly is bountiful here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Take a hike on the Killpecker Trail; you can stay the night at Dowdy Lake - Arapaho National Forest. Nakomis Lake is mostly a pretty waterless site; July is the month that gets the most rain while January is the month  
   with the least amount of precipitation.
The warmest time of the year at Nakomis Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while night lows are mostly in the 40's. Throughout the winter the highs are commonly in the 30's; nighttime lows throughout the winter for Nakomis Lake tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Swamp Creek Cutoff Trail, and Columbine Canyon is a great spot to spend some time. Don't
 
               you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a glorious time here at Nakomis Lake. Why not check out Nakomis Lake Dam while you're here, and golf can be played at Fox Acres Country Club.
If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Medicine Bow Mountains. In case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cache La Poudre River; Nakomis Lake is not the only site nearby, Apache Lake is a nearby lake. Nakomis Lake is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Creedmore Lakes Campground is a fine place to camp nearby; a lake nearby is Lake Nokomis. Nakomis Lake is a beautiful lake in the Medicine Bow Mountains.
This lake is so wonderful. Cache La Poudre River - North Fork has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby, and after a long day outdoors Peak To Peak Lodge Inc. is a tremendous place to spend a night or two.

However my interest in families was sparked when I heard the name Appleton Collins Worster who is in my family tree. ...It's named after my grandfather Appleton Collins Worster, he came here from Maine when he was young. My father and uncles grew up in the house that is on Sand Creek road, not far from reservoir....I have never heard of Worster Reservoir, please let me know where it is located....

The lake was very low on 6/29/08. Not sure when they let all the water out but if it was before this last winter we had... I bet it froze solid. We both fished for a while and did not see and sign of life while we were there....
