This lake is one of the great places here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. And that's not all the things to do here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Good hiking is available along the Killpecker Trail, and the scenery at Nakomis Lake Dam is beautiful. Not much rainfall falls here at Nakomis Lake; the month with most of the rain is July while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.       You simply have to adore Nakomis Lake. For you golfers we recommend close by Fox Acres Country Club, and camping at Creedmore Lakes Campground is always a good experience. At Nakomis Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 80's, and the night is quite cooler of course, usually in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Nakomis Lake are in the 0's. Camping is available at Bellaire Lake Campground,                  and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Cache La Poudre River - North Fork. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the North Lone Pine Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Cache La Poudre River offers some magnificent whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Peak To Peak Lodge Inc. is a glorious choice. So much cool stuff in the Medicine Bow Mountains, just mind-boggling. Columbine Canyon is a perfect place to pop by close by; it's a tremendous idea to have a look at Columbine Creek.
