Nakomis Lake is right by the North Lone Pine Trail, and getting to Columbine Creek from Nakomis Lake is uncomplicated. Yep, outdoors exciting things truly is bountiful here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Take a hike on the Killpecker Trail; you can stay the night at Dowdy Lake - Arapaho National Forest. Nakomis Lake is mostly a pretty waterless site; July is the month that gets the most rain while January is the month       with the least amount of precipitation. The warmest time of the year at Nakomis Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while night lows are mostly in the 40's. In case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cache La Poudre River; Nakomis Lake is not the only site nearby, Apache Lake is a nearby lake. Nakomis Lake is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Creedmore Lakes Campground is a fine place to camp nearby; a lake nearby is Lake Nokomis. Nakomis Lake is a beautiful lake in the Medicine Bow Mountains. This lake is so wonderful.
