Murry Reservoir beyond doubt is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Murray Dam has great water scenery and it's near Murry Reservoir; while you're here you can take a hike along the Grays Peak Trail. A pleasant spree to Smelter Basin is a tremendous way to spend an afternoon, and if you don't mind getting drenched,       you can always go whitewater paddling on Clear Creek. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Murry Reservoir, you could also visit close by Murray Lake, and Murry Reservoir is a splendid place to visit for more than one day, Guanella Pass - Arapaho National Forest is a splendid place to camp nearby. Summertime highs at Murry Reservoir ordinarily tend to be in the 60's while nighttime lows are generally in the 30's. For the period of the wintertime                  this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Murry Reservoir dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Arapahoe Basin is close to Murry Reservoir, and Murry Reservoir is not the only place close by, Silver Dollar Lake is a close by lake. From a precipitation point of view Murry Reservoir is a rather normal place; April is the wettest month with most snow; October is when it's the driest. Nearby Argentine Pass is a nice place to go if you're at Murry Reservoir; Clear Creek - West Fork has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area near Murry Reservoir has to offer. From Murry Reservoir you get a great view of Argentine Peak. If you need a location to stay Super 8 Motel - Georgetown is a brilliant choice; Loveland is a magnificent local ski area.
