This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. A pleasant spot to camp here at Mud Spring Reservoir is Iron Spring Campground, and if you need a location to stay Mountain Lodge At Telluride is a glorious choice. Not much rain falls here at Mud Spring Reservoir; the wettest month of the year is typically July, that's the one that rains the most while February is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.

This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Mud Spring Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Dry Creek Trail, and do pop by Berry Reservoir, it's a pretty lake. Now, you may imagine that's loads but there's even more entertaining
stuff to do here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. There's perfect hiking along the Paradox Road, and a spree to Clay Creek Spring will fill your spirit with tremendous feelings. During the summer here at Mud Spring Reservoir,
high temperatures regularly reach the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. During the winter highs are frequently in the 30's; nighttime lows at Mud Spring Reservoir throughout the winter commonly
dip into the 0's.
There are great sites to explore along the Horsefly Trail; if you come at the right time of year, San Miguel River offers some great whitewater.
