Mud Lakes is one of the lakes here in the Front Range. Clear Creek has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by, and on a fine day you can take a hike along the Payne Creek Trail. Any time is a tremendous time at Mud Lakes if you fancy the outdoors. Mud Lakes is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Rock Campground is a perfect local campground, and Ameristar Casino Resort Spa Black Hawk is a delightful spot to get some rest. Throughout the winter highs are ordinarily in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Mud Lakes. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Front Range. and after a long day outdoors Quality Suites at Evergreen Parkway is a great place to spend a night or two. Meridian Hill can be made out from Mud Lakes, and the Chicago Lakes Trail is a tremendous hiking trail close by. This lake
is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Mud Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Meridian Campground is a magnificent site for that, and perhaps you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Roosevelt Lakes is just a very
short distance away. An average amount of rain falls at Mud Lakes; the month with most of the snow is April, and the driest month of the year is October.
