This lake is one of the great places here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Summertime highs at Mud Lake usually tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Mud Lake. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! The Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains is great! Dry warm beds await you at Spiral Stairs by ResortQuest, and camping       at Molas Lake Park is always a wonderful experience. A day on the slopes of Telluride is just what you need, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Bridal Veil Falls. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things next to Mud Lake. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Silverton is next to Mud Lake, and there are some great whitewater spots on Mineral Creek - South. You imagine that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Ajax Peak is a peak you                  can distinguish from Mud Lake; there's whitewater on Lime Creek for all you thrill seekers. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains has to offer. Bridal Veil Basin is a great place to check out; since you're here you can take a hike along the Greyhound Pack Trail. Mud Lake is commonly a relatively arid location; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If the weather is delightful here at Mud Lake, you can go for a hike along the Weehawken Pack Trail, and a golf course close by is Telluride Ski & Golf Club. You're sure to bump into some nice people from Durango here; you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Brooklyn Trail. Having a great time in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains is easy. Why not have a look at nearby Bridal Veil Creek since you're here at Mud Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Bridal Veil Dam is an interesting thing to check out, and Ghost Riders by ResortQuest is a great place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.
