     Mud Lake is located in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. A good place for whitewater paddling right next door to Mud Lake is Lime Creek, and do take a hike on the Brooklyn Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Mud Lake has to offer, you can camp at Molas Lake Park; do set aside some time for Bridal Veil Basin if you're here at Mud Lake.
Having a good time in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains is uncomplicated.
 
   Here at Mud Lake you can see Ajax Peak, and as expected Bridal Veil Creek flows through this neighborhood. This place rules, just look at all the amusing things to do in the vicinity of Mud Lake. What would winter be without some skiing at Silverton, and an attention-grabbing thing to stop at near Mud Lake is Bridal Veil Dam. Mud Lake is a location that is pretty arid typically; all through July this area sees the most rain while June is mostly the driest  
               month.
But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. A lake close by is Blue Lake Number 1. During the months of summer here at Mud Lake, high temperatures commonly get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Mud Lake sink into the 10's. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Greyhound Pack Trail; get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Mineral Creek - South.
This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Weehawken Pack Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and golf can be played at Telluride Ski & Golf Club. So much entertaining stuff to do at Mud Lake, so little time. Dry warm beds await you at The Ice House Lodge, and the slopes of Telluride are so inviting nobody can resist. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains has to offer. Mud Lake is a nice location to visit for more than one day, South Mineral Campground is a nice location to camp nearby, and Blue Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at.
