Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Boulder Creek - South, and a lake nearby is Panama Reservoir Number 1. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll fancy Mountain View Lakes. The fine folks of Boulder like to hang out close by; if you're here, you could take a look at Coal Creek. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Boulder       Creek, and there is a pleasant hiking trail close by called the Saddle Rock Trail. Going for a hike on the Green Mountain Trail is always a magnificent adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Longmont Koa Kampground is a perfect campground nearby, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Indian Peaks Golf Course is close by. Summertime highs at Mountain View Lakes usually tend to be in the 80's; the overnight is a tad chillier of course,                  frequently in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 40's while Mountain View Lakes night low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. The Mesa Trail is a great hiking trail close to Mountain View Lakes, and Elmwood Dam is wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Niwot Inn is a good choice, and B and B Mobile and RV Park is a magnificent local campground. Mountain View Lakes gets very little rainfall; the month with most of the rain is May while January is generally the driest month.
