You'll find a beautiful lake called Upper Dome Reservoir near Moss Lake, and Moss Lake is a nice place to visit for more than one day, Luders Creek Campground is a nice place to camp nearby. It is very dried out here at Moss Lake generally; most of the rain falls during August while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation.       You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Gunnison/Crested Butte Area is a delightful site to spend a night or two. Moss Lake is one of the lakes here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. The Devils Hole Trail offers hiking at its best, and some close by water includes Alkali Creek. Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more entertaining                  stuff to do here at Moss Lake. Lakes are such peaceful spots, why not go to Lower Dome Reservoir near Moss Lake, and Black Canyon Of The Gunnison National Park is a tremendous local destination. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Moss Lake; Skyline Trail is a glorious local trail; you can stay the night at Stone Cellar Campground. For the period of the summer months at Moss Lake temperatures are mostly in the 70's, and the overnight is rather colder of course, commonly in the 40's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's; nighttime lows in the-10's for Moss Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
