Go for a hike on the Round Mountain Trail; Mosquito Creek is right next door to Mosquito Lake and is always a diversion to visit. Be careful coming to the Sawatch Range, you might not ever want to go home again. A great close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express SALIDA, and close by you stumble on the Sheep Mountain Trail which is a great hiking trail. For the period of the warm days of summer here at       Mosquito Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's while night lows are generally in the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are ordinarily in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Mosquito Lake. Aspen Leaf Lodge is a pleasant location to get some rest, and you could always look at The Gate. Mosquito Lake gets very little rain; the wettest month of the year is frequently August, that's the one that rains the most while November is frequently                  the driest month. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Mosquito Lake. Not far from Mosquito Lake, you'll find Lake O'Haver which is a pretty lake; a splendid place to camp here at Mosquito Lake is O Haver Lake Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Silver Creek Lakes. Mosquito Lake is located in the Sawatch Range. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Divide Trail is always a glorious adventure; paddling on Arkansas River is so much fun.
