Near Mosco Reservoir you locate the Huerfano Trail which is a fine hiking trail, and there's always Mosca Dam to take a look at near Mosco Reservoir. Now, you may assume that's lots but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. On a good day at Mosco Reservoir you can take a hike along the Cascade Trail, and needless to say Aspen Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth stopping       at. High temperatures at Mosco Reservoir during the warm months are in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Mosco Reservoir. Around Mosco Reservoir you don’t get a lot of precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain; January is when it's the driest. That right there is a load already, but it keeps on going; Mosco Reservoir has it all. Great                  Sand Dunes National Monument is a tremendous local destination here at Mosco Reservoir. Mosco Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Pinyon Flats Campground is a nice campground here; while you're here, you could also check out lovely Smith Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful.
