Go for a hike on the Main Range Trail, and everyone close by loves skiing at Vail. Morton Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Sugar Loafin' RV/campground is a fine local campground, and a great place for whitewater paddling is Arkansas River. Morton Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sawatch Range. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Morton Lake; Mount Massive Trail is a good local trail, and a pretty lake like Rainbow       Lake is a pleasant spot to pop by. But wait, there's more cool things to do in the Sawatch Range. You can run the rapids of Homestake Creek next to Morton Lake; an afternoon playing golf at MT Massive Golf Course is always a bliss. So much fun stuff to do at Morton Lake, so little time. If you're here, you might as well visit Gleason Gulch, and let's not forget North Fork West Tennessee Creek which is a stream that you may stumble upon while you're here.                  This spot rules, just look at all the cool things to do in the neighborhood of Morton Lake. You'll come across a beautiful lake called Home Lake near Morton Lake. Summertime highs at Morton Lake commonly tend to be in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Through the winter the highs are typically in the 30's while Morton Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 0's. Dry warm beds await you at Silver King Inn; magnificent hiking is available along the Highline Trail. Morton Lake is pretty dehydrated typically; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Having a great time in the Sawatch Range is trouble-free. The skiing at Ski Cooper is delightful, and Tennessee Park is a tremendous spot. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Super 8 Motel - Leadville is a good choice.
