After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Montrose is a glorious site to spend a night or two; going for a hike on the Alpine Trail is always a great adventure. It is very arid here at Morrow Point Reservoir regularly; of all the months in a year October is the one with the most rain while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. | | to visit for more than one day, Cimarron Campground is a fine site to camp nearby. Just can't get enough of Morrow Point Reservoir. Near Morrow Point Reservoir you find the Deer Creek Trail which is a nice hiking trail, and you might also want to pay a visit to Corral Gulch if you're here at Morrow Point Reservoir.

heart pumping on the magnificent whitewater of Cimarron River. There are other locations here than Morrow Point Reservoir, for example Meek Reservoir, and unsurprisingly Cimarron River flows through this area. This lake is so wonderful.
Morrow Point Dam is worth visiting since you're here. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Morrow Point Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Mesa Creek Campground.

out Cimarron Point is a must, and there's whitewater on Cimarron River for all you thrill seekers. For the duration of the days of summer at Morrow Point Reservoir temperatures are regularly in the 80's; the night is fairly chillier
of course, regularly in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and night lows at Morrow Point Reservoir during the winter regularly dip into the 10's.
