Camping at Mavreeso Campground is always a tremendous experience, and in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Dolores River. A good nearby hotel is Dunton Hot Springs. High temperatures at Morrison Lake during the summertime are in the 80's, and the night is a bit colder of course, frequently in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's while Morrison Lake night low       temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. Take a side trip to Bear Creek, and if you came to camp Miramonte Reservoir Campground is a pleasant place to do that. Arrowhead Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Fish Creek Trail. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Morrison Dam is gorgeous and it's close to Morrison Lake, and you can have a great hiking adventure along                  the Stoner Stock Trail. This lake is so wonderful. San Miguel River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot nearby, and going for a hike along the Stoner Mesa Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood.
