Morris Reservoir is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. So many fun things to do here in the Park Range, too fine to be true. After a long day outdoors Oak Tree Inn Yampa is a good site to spend a night or two, and get your heart pumping on the nice whitewater of Piney River. This spot is great, just check out all the enjoyable stuff to do near Morris Reservoir. Morris Reservoir is next to Morris Dam which is a scenic location unquestionably

| | worth taking a look at, and a fine location close by is Deadman Gulch. Through the summer months, highs mostly are in the 70's at Morris Reservoir, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Morris Reservoir temperatures dip to the 0's. Muddy Slide Trail. Man, is there a lot of enjoyable stuff to do in the Park Range. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Rock Creek, and there are great places to look at along the Morrison
Divide Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Sunburst Condominiums (Vri) is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Lagunita
Lake; a pleasant spot to camp here at Morris Reservoir is Lynx Pass Campground. Not far from Morris Reservoir, you'll find Tonier Gulch Reservoir which is a pretty lake, and don't leave Morris Reservoir without first going for a hike
along the Tepee Creek Trail. Morris Reservoir is pretty dry mostly; the wettest month of the year is generally July, that's the one that rains the most, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is one of the great places here in the Park Range.
