Just can't get enough of the Sawatch Range. Why not camp at Mary Queen Campground since you're here at Mormon Lake, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Edwards here. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid close by hotel is The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch; lakes are such serene places, why not take a look at Bench Lakes. It is very dried up here       at Mormon Lake generally; through July this area sees the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. That right there is a load already, but it continues; Mormon Lake has it all. Have a delightful hiking adventure along the Last Chance Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Homestake Creek. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Gold Park Campground is a pleasant place to camp; after a long day outdoors Christie Lodge                  is a magnificent place to spend a night or two. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawatch Range. Hiking along the Main Range Trail is tremendous fun, and a stunning lake like Upper Homestake Lake is a pleasant site to visit. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Sawatch Range. Hit the slopes at Beaver Creek close at hand, and get drenched paddling on Fryingpan River. All through the summer highs here at Mormon Lake get into the 80's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 40's.
