Really great skiing awaits you at Hesperus Ski Center, and Mesa Verde National Park is one of the destinations that are perfect to visit nearby. Turkey Point Spring is always fun to check out; there are other places here than Morgan Reservoir, for example Driveway Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Transfer Campground is always a pleasant experience, and Myler Reservoir is a great lake nearby. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Morgan Reservoir;

| | through summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. Highs during the winter are frequently in the 30's, and night lows at Morgan Reservoir through the winter usually plunge into the 0's. And that's not all you can do here at Morgan Reservoir. And Guest Ranch, LLC, and the Morrison Trail offers hiking at its best. Morgan Reservoir is typically a reasonably waterless place; through the month of March you get the most snow around here while June is the month with the
least amount of precipitation. If you need a site to stay Dunton Hot Springs is a perfect choice, and Morgan Reservoir is right by the Chicken Creek Trail. Camping is available at Priest Gulch Campground and RV; don't forget to take a wonderful little spree to Fish Creek.

 | 12 miles away Summit Lake was constructed in 1905 and reconstructed and enlarged in 1938. It is owned and operated by the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company. It contains 402 surfqace acres when full. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) and open for public fishing. Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only. The public access is maintained by the DOW. The only facilities present is a boat ramp and a pit toilet. No fires, swimming or overnight camping is allowed.... |
