Many people like to go to Morgan Reservoir. Morgan Reservoir is a location that is relatively dried up commonly; during the month of March you get the most snow around here; June meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Morgan Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Chicken Creek Trail; if you need a spot to stay Dunton Hot Springs is a pleasant choice. This lake is so wonderful. A nice location for whitewater paddling near Morgan Reservoir is Dolores River, and dropping by Mesa Verde National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Dude And Guest Ranch, LLC is a glorious site to spend a night or two, and a pleasant location to camp here at Morgan Reservoir is Priest Gulch Campground and RV. If you're here at Morgan Reservoir, you could visit Fish Creek, and
there are other places here than Morgan Reservoir, for example Myler Reservoir. All through the summertime at Morgan Reservoir temperatures are usually in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 30's. Highs all through
the wintertime are usually in the 30's, and night lows at Morgan Reservoir during the wintertime typically drop into the 0's. A short trip to Turkey Point Spring is always worthwhile; camping at Transfer Campground is always a delightful experience.

It contains 402 surfqace acres when full. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) and open for public fishing. Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only. The public access is maintained by the DOW. The only facilities present is a boat ramp and a pit toilet. No fires, swimming or overnight camping is allowed.... |
