Be careful coming to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, you might not ever wanna go home again. Why not camp at Five Branches Camper Park since you're here at Moon Lake It's always splendid to pop by Coyote Basin Spring. This lake is so wonderful. On a great day at Moon Lake you can take a hike along the Pine-Piedra Stock Driveway. Lakes are great; Rocky Basin is a lake that's right next door to       Moon Lake. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Moon Lake; during August this area sees the most rain, and June meanwhile is the driest month. Moon Lake is a beautiful lake in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Take a side trip to Indian Creek, and in case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Vallecito Creek. Moon Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a picturesque outdoors paradise. A nice place to                  camp here at Moon Lake is Pine River Campground, and whitewater paddling is pleasant on Piedra River. Summertime at Moon Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 30's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Moon Lake through the wintertime typically dip into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Chain Lakes, and the top of Grassy Point is easily distinguished from Moon Lake. Near Moon Lake you locate the Middle Mountain Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail, and Keyah Grande Resort is a nice spot to get some rest. Yeah, come up here to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains for a nice time.
