Summertime highs at Monument Reservoir typically tend to be in the 80's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Monument Reservoir dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Bar Diamond Ranch is a great location to do       that, and you can take a little spree to Monument Dam since you're here at Monument Reservoir. Monument Reservoir is a good site of normal rainfall; the wettest month of the year is regularly March, that's the one that rains the most while June is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Gunnison River - North Fork; Horse Gulch is another fine site to have a look                  at nearby. If you need a spot to stay Sunlight Mountain Inn is a delightful choice, and the Sunset Trail is a delightful hiking trail nearby. So much fun stuff close to Monument Reservoir, truly incredible. Camping at Smith Fork Campground is always a pleasant experience, and there is a fine hiking trail close by called the Minnesota Pass Trail. Not far from Monument Reservoir, you'll locate Lone Cabin Reservoir which is a delightful lake, and hey, Deer Creek is a pleasant local stream. On a brilliant day at Monument Reservoir you can take a hike along the Hammond Trail; get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Anthracite Creek - Ruby Fork.
