Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Sundance, and there are some tremendous whitewater spots on San Miguel River. Yep, outdoors cool stuff truly is plentiful here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. The Grassy Lake Trail is a splendid hiking trail near Monument Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit San Miguel River. Monument Lake is a place with many visitors from Montrose, and a nice       spot to camp here at Monument Lake is Antone Spring Campground. Through the months of summer highs here at Monument Lake get into the 90's. Summer night lows drop down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Monument Lake are in the 10's. Monument Lake gets very little rainfall; all through October this area sees the most rain, and June on the other hand is the driest. Blue Mud Spring is an                  inspiring site to pop by while you're here, and needless to say, this is a pleasant vicinity for people who like lakes, Hilkey Pond is a lake nearby. Monument Lake is located in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. You're probably interested in lakes, Grassy Lake is one of those close by, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Telephone Draw Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
