Monument Lake is a beautiful lake in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Summertime highs at Monument Lake typically tend to be in the 90's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. Don't leave Monument Lake without first
going for a hike along the Telephone Draw Trail, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Montrose here. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Best Western Sundance is a good choice, and a short journey to Blue Mud Spring
is always worthwhile. Monument Lake is pretty dry frequently; the month of October is the wettest with most of the rain, and June on the other hand is the driest.
