Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! The Sangre De Cristo Mountains is great! There's some flowing water nearby, Cherry Creek is a stream you can go to during your stay. The Sangre De Cristo Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Now, you may assume that's lots but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. A great place to camp here at Monument Lake is Monument       Lake Resort; going for a hike along the West Peak Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. If you need a location to stay Knights Inn Walensburg is a wonderful choice, and if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the Apishapa Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Monument Lake Dam; Coal Creek Flat is a delightful location here at Monument Lake. Any time is a wonderful                  time at Monument Lake if you fancy the outdoors. Hayrack Mountain is uncomplicated to spot from Monument Lake, and the Wade Trail is a great hiking trail close by. Camping is available at Potato Patch Campground, and why not head up to Eldora and strap some skis to your feet. High temperatures at Monument Lake through the summertime are in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's; during the dark hours in the winter at Monument Lake temperatures drop to the-10's.
