Not much rain falls here at Monument Lake; most of the rain falls all through August while January is ordinarily the driest month. Be careful coming to Monument Lake, you might not ever want to return back home again. A good close by hotel is Stonewall Inn & Rv Park; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Eldora. Yep, outdoors fun things truly is bountiful here       in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Near Monument Lake you hit upon the Wade Trail which is a great hiking trail, and after a long day outdoors Picketwire Lodge & Store is a good site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. On a delightful day you obtain a vista of Hayrack Mountain from Monument Lake; why not camp at Potato Patch Campground while you're here at Monument Lake. Throughout the months of summer highs here at Monument Lake reach the 80's,                  and during the night it cools down to the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Monument Lake are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, North Lake is near Monument Lake. The Apishapa Trail is a pleasant hiking trail in close proximity to Monument Lake, and camping is available at Monument Lake Resort. Monument Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. If the weather is great here at Monument Lake, you can go for a hike along the West Peak Trail, and Coal Creek Flat is a brilliant spot here at Monument Lake.
