nice lake, easy to get to. Fits a couple of canoes. Some marshy area where people train their dogs. Fishing in 2007 was expected to be not the best due to the drought in 2004. We went twice in 2007, kids had a couple of bites, could see some people catching some smaller fish. Good lake for the ''I only have a few hours before the kids games'' kinda place.

If you are in El Paso county it's always a good idea to stop by Monument Lake. But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the Front Range. Crystal Creek is a striking stream that is worth a visit; if you're here and you like golf, you can go to Gleneagle Golf Club. If you're visiting Monument Lake from Colorado Springs, you won't be the only one, and while you're here at Monument Lake, checking out Elephant Rock Arch is a must. Why not take a refreshing hike

Summertime at Monument Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 40's with temperatures at Monument Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. This lake is | |

so wonderful. Monument Lake Dam is not far at all from Monument Lake; Hilton Garden Inn Colorado Springs is a splendid location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Winding Stairs Trail; a perfect site to
camp here at Monument Lake is Colorado Heights Camping.
The summit of Elephant Rock can be made out from Monument Lake. Having a splendid time in the Front Range is trouble-free. A great close by hotel is Residence Inn By Marriott
Colorado Springs North, and you're almost certainly addicted to lakes, Woodmoor Lake is one of those close by. This lake is one of the great places here in the Front Range.
This place, Monument Lake, it definitely has so much
outdoors amusing stuff. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Monument Lake; Balanced Rock Trail is a great local trail; a visit to Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is recommended. At Monument Lake you don’t see much rain;
the wettest month of the year is ordinarily May, that's the one that rains the most; January is when it's the driest.
