Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Arkansas River; you can go for a hike on the Wheeler Trail. Any time is a good time at Montgomery Reservoir if you like the outdoors. Village Point by Breckenridge Accommodations is a tremendous spot to get some rest, and you'll perhaps meet       some folks from Silverthorne here. There's brilliant hiking along the Old Boreas Wagon Road, and wonderful water scenery is available at Montgomery Dam right next door to Montgomery Reservoir. This place rules, just look at all the cool things to do right next door to Montgomery Reservoir. Beaver Creek Campground is a delightful local campground, and after a long day outdoors The Corral by ResortQuest is a fine site to spend a night or two. This lake is                  so wonderful. Don't leave Montgomery Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Burro Trail, and you could always look at Hoosier Pass. Montgomery Reservoir is typically a rather dried up place; the month with most of the rain is July; January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Tenmile Creek for all you adrenaline junkies, and everyone close by loves skiing at Breckenridge. During the summertime months, highs generally are in the 70's at Montgomery Reservoir. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 30's. All through the winter highs are frequently in the 20's with temperatures at Montgomery Reservoir dipping down into the-10's during winter nights. Looking for something close to Montgomery Reservoir? Crystal Lake is close at hand, and the skiing at Crested Butte is wonderful.
