While you're here at Montez Reservoir, you could also explore gorgeous Sierra Blanco Reservoir Number 2, and camping at Great Sand Dunes Oasis is always a tremendous experience. Montez Reservoir is located in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Lost Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out, and if you need a site to stay Days Inn Alamosa is a good choice. Shaft       Draw is a wonderful site to look at; if you came to camp Pinyon Flats Campground is a glorious place to do that. Just can't get enough of Montez Reservoir. On a wonderful day at Montez Reservoir you can take a hike along the Strawberry Trail, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Ute Trail. At Montez Reservoir you don’t see much rain; all through August this area sees the most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. High temperatures                  at Montez Reservoir during the summertime months are in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
