At Mohawk Lake you don’t see much rain; July is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Crested Butte while you're here; Kite Lake Campground is a good local campground. Get soaked paddling on Tenmile Creek,       and do stop at Mayflower Lakes, it's a scenic lake. Mohawk Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. You'll meet a lot of folks from Silverthorne here, and after a long day outdoors Los Pinos by ResortQuest is a perfect place to spend a night or two. Don't leave Mohawk Lake without first going for a hike along the Wheeler Trail; if the weather is pretty, you acquire a splendid view of Crystal Peak from Mohawk Lake. At Mohawk Lake throughout                  the long summer days highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 30's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Mohawk Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Burro Trail, and what would winter be without some skiing at Breckenridge. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the area in the neighborhood of Mohawk Lake has to offer. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Arkansas River; going for a hike on the Wheeler Trail is always a great adventure.
